Danielle Stewart was raised in Beckley, WV and graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School in 1989. She attended Concord College (now Concord University), earning a B.A. in Geography with a minor in Biology. Later, Danielle earned her MBA from Webster University in 2010.

She served in the U.S. Army for 23 years, retiring in July 2015. Danielle served as a Crane Operator, Team Leader, Platoon Leader, Company Commander, Brigade Engineer, Brigade Chief of Operations, and Division Engineer in various assignments across the United States and overseas including Germany, Iraq, Korea, and Afghanistan.

Danielle is active in the community beyond the association.  She serves on the Beckley Human Rights Commission and is a board member of the Friends of the New River Gorge.  She also volunteers with the Beckley Events Committee and the Beckley Area Foundation.

Danielle is an avid outdoorsman who loves to run, hike, and bike. She grew up playing in the various creeks that make up our watershed and is passionate about improving and protecting our watershed and our community.
